Ok, New Plan!!

Alrighty, It is now APRIL! 3 Months away from the supposed "Disneyland Trip."
I've come to my senses and am aware that I WON'T be able to take my friends family along too. So now I'm planning merely, for MY Family.
Meaning the trip will be about half the price!!

Ok, so I've currently got about $900 towards this trip, and still working on earning as much as possible.

My Money = $557.35
Sister's Money = $355
TOTAL = $912.35!!!!

Getting SO close to the $1000 mark!!
YAY =D

I'm now gonna be working my butt off in order to get to LA for Summer (July!)
I'll keep updating during April so everyone can see if I get any closer to the dream trip!

AHHHHHHHH It's already 2008!!

Project Disneyland is planned for 2008. That means I have a number of months to make the money and plan this dang trip!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!

Well, as you can probably already tell, it's just occured to me that I have about 4 months now to get the money I need.
Well, I now have about $806.15 which is around $25 more than what I had last time I blogged!
Plus, I've signed up for a money making site, in which I've so far made a few bucks...however I'm gonna need more than a few bucks to get to L.A!!

So, I met up with my friend the other day. I'm talking about the friend who I want to take to Disneyland this year. I hadn't seen her in ages and I made sure to remind her that I planned on taking her to Los Angeles. We laugh as I tell her this, and I act as if it'll never really happen. She laughs too, yet I know, I have some kind of detirmination that could possibly make it happen.

And even though she's almost 100% sure it won't happen, I know that if I stop trying to make it happen, then the slight chance that it will happen, will just fade away.
Quitting now from the goal that I set myself in October last year, is like admitting that goals like mine are unreachable.

We all know that my goal is not uncreachable. But it's very hard to do in my time limit. However if everyone in this world quit because it seems impossible, then no one would ever succeed at anything.
Sir Edmund Hilary would never have made it to the top of Everest. That overweight woman would never have lost the weight she wanted to. Bill Gates would never have created Microsoft.

So, just to clear things up with anyone who wants to know, I don't plan on giving up even when my deadline comes. Maybe it'll be my friends Christmas present instead of birthday present...lol!

It's Money Time!

So, to continue on from my last post, I'm in a bit of problem!
How on earth can a 13 year old girl earn or win $25,000? Most contests out there only let you win around $3,000 and the chance of even winning is like 1 in a million!
Well, I've just spent all day on Yahoo! Answers trying to get some ideas of websites where I can earn money. So far, I've asked the same question on there 5 times today and keep getting the same lousy answers:

'Mow Lawns' - I'm an Aussie. My neighbours spend half their lives mowing their lawns, so there's no use in me trying that.

'Babysit' - I live somewhat close to the city and being home alone with kids near where I live isn't the smartest idea at my age.

'Lemondade Stand' - Did they get this idea from a cartoon show? My street is quiet as anything!

'Try survey sites' - The people who said this didn't even leave a link to a site and half of them out there aren't even legit.

'Sell on Ebay' - Are they kidding? $25,000 from selling on Ebay? I'd be lucky to make $500 on there!

So basically, I have NO plans on how I can get the 25k and I've worked out I only have 4 months till my deadline. OH MY GOSH!

Well, at least I can say, I'll soon have reached my $1,000 mark! My sister is thrilled about my Disneyland trip idea, so she's generously donated all her money from her wallet to the trip.
Here's my money chart:

My Money= $488.15
My sister's Money = $305
TOTAL= $793.15

Goal: $25,000
We Need= $24,206.85

YIKES! That's still alot of money =O
However, both my sister and I recieve weekly pocket money (not much though) so hopefully soon we'll reach our $1,000. At least we've got a start on the money! My Sister and I also each have $1,000 in the bank, but that's being saved for the future.

The Plan

In 1952, Walt Disney had a dream.

Well, now it's 2007, and it's MY turn to have a dream!
Basically, I'm a 13 year old girl living in Australia who's come up with this incredibly big dream that is "supposed" to take place in July 2008!

Here's the deal.
One of my closest friends (who's actually 10 months younger than me) is turning 13 in April 2008. She's NEVER been overseas in her life (I know lots of people haven't) but she's the kind of girl who deserves to go on a fantastic holiday overseas. She's one of the kindest and most friendly people I know (and I know alot of people!). She's incredibly fun to be around, and I feel that she deserves this holiday more than anyone else I know of.

So, I pretty much went on like 4 holidays in 2007 alone! I went to Victoria in Australia, Los Angeles, Phuket in Thailand and South Korea.
You have NO IDEA how awful I felt when she asked me about these holidays. Since she's never been overseas, it makes me feel sick having to tell her about the fantastic places i've been and the things I've done.

So, in October 2007, I decided that in 2008 I was going to take my family and her family to Los Angeles for 11 days.
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THAT COSTS?
Well, I do now! Gosh, I'm an even bigger dreamer than Walt was!
WHERE am I supposed to get $25,000??

That's when Project Disneyland started.
I told my sister and my Mum about my impossibly dream. My sister was all for it, but my Mum was like "Honey, you're 13. You can't even drive yet and you're expecting to get $25,000 for this trip?"
I nagged her about for about a week and she kept telling me I was silly to think I'd ever succeed with this dream.

I AM A MAJOR DISNEYLAND LOVER. So I am DETERMINED to make it happen.

I'll keep you all updated on how it's going soon. I've almost reached my $1,000 mark, and I'll post about how much money I have so far in the next blog.
